There are episodes (and portions thereof) that focus more on Abe-no-Kaii rather than on Ogami and the Yagyu, and there's an extended flashback sequence that explores more of the backstory of what Ogami was saving his money for and how it might come in useful against the Yagyu--but I don't want to spoil that, so I'll say no more about those details.
